View from the hotel roof

The downtown area of Bangkok is enormous. This is, by no means, a view of the city skyline. The hotel I stayed at had a rooftop bar and pool which was a nice way to relax after sightseeing during the day. Despite these clouds, the weather in Bangkok was much nicer (hardly any rain) and warmer than in Mae Sot.

hey eric,
would u believe i am doing an almost identical trip to yours...
i am volunteering at the clinic in nov-dec and then moving on to bangkok and south thailand for a couple of weeks... b4 winding my way over to vietnam--so cool that someone else is doing the same thing-
which hotel did u stay at in bangkok-- anyways nice reading your blog well done--
so true what u said about cambodia though- the aiding and abetting of warlords and dictators for our short term gain is the very strategy that is responsible for teh difficulties in the present day

I stayed at Woraburi Suhkumvit Hotel and Resort. You can get cheaper rates online (not at the hotel's website).
