I asked permission to take their photos, but they refused to continue sweeping. What can you do? I read somewhere that a lot of Thai males (most of them?) join a monastery at some point in their life. So, it is not uncommon to see a lot of kids walking around in bright orange robes. In the mornings, it is a beautiful sight to see lines of orange robes walking the empty sidewalks with their buckets, receiving food offerings from the businesses and people.
